He should go with the computer science and do computer language training parallel to his UG education.

Diploma is offered in the following fields-
Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Architectural Assistantship, Information Technology) (Admission through state-level centralized process. It is not offered in Agriculture.

In my opinion, I would suggest you choose commerce stream, it is slightly easier than science. You will be able to score good marks in commerce stream.

For this year, the GD and PI are already conducted and 3 rounds of counselling is also done. I would also like to inform you that admission for the next year will consider MAT score card which will be generated from September 2018.

Every college is different and hence their admission criteria also vary. Please confirm the university name in which you want to enrol or you can also check the eligibility criteria of the course on their official website.

You need to pass HSC to get certification in above said course in AAT.

After 10th, you can go for Diploma and Certificate courses only. The courses available are Certificate in 2D Animation, Certificate in 3D Animation, Certificate in VFX and Certificate in CG Arts and Effects. These courses will help one acquire key animation skills and knowledge. If one wants to become a professional animator, he/she must consider going for advanced courses like Professional Diploma and Bachelor's degree courses.
