Hello Soumita Haldar, after doing graduation in Chemistry you want to pursue engineering in chemical? If I may ask why you want to spend four years to this course whereas you can do PG and halfway through to your doctorate in Chemistry in this period? However if you still want to pursue, you need to appear for and clear entrance test that is assigned by your state for admission to engineering colleges. Also please check about eligibility conditions particularly about year of passing of 12th etc. Best wishes to you.

There is no point in joining Lnmiit for Mechanical engineering. Because fees is more than 17 Lacs for 4 years and there is zero placement of Mechanical engineering in Lnmiit.

Hello Harsh, it keeps changing from year to year. However rough idea can be obtained if one looks up the data of admission on the website of each institute after completion of admission process. Else you can download college predictor for JEE Mains, and keep feeding different percentiles. At a particular percentile, it will show you as getting admission. Understood? Best wishes to you.

Hello Sindhuja, chemical engineering has vast potential in the days to come. Research is big enough to absorb all the professionals passing out. On the other hand, even CSE professionals are in big demand and this is likely to stay in foreseeable future. Hence I would strongly advise you to find out the interest of your daughter and allow her to take admission in field of her choosing. Best of luck to you and your daughter.

Hello Tanmay Jain, rather than talking about chemical engineering in IIT Patna, it's best if we talk of it on its own merits. Chemical engineering has great role to play in the years to come. As crude oil is nearing exhaustion coupled with CO2 worries due to burning of fossil fuel, research is going on in full swing around the world to find alternative sources. Solar energy, Hydrogen are two prominent areas. Here chemical engineering professionals have to play big role in making products cheaper and safe. I am sure that this is one branch that is pregnant with immense opportunities. Best wishes to you.
