Hi Lav,
PCMB and PCM both are two different branches and thus you have to give a little extra attention than the students who opted for PCM or PCB.
It will be a very good choice. If you have the desire to do it then do it with full dedication.

Chemical engineers have a lot of job options in manufacturing industries like tyre manufacturing, food, nanotechnology, biotechnology, mining process, synthetic fibers, plastic, power production, nuclear energy, material science, engineering design, etc.

You did not mention if its Masters or Bachelors you are looking for. As for the part time job query yes you can, all international students can work part time 20 hours a week and full time during holidays and breaks.
