The basic eligibility for admission in a bachelor degree in engineering is successfully completing higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as physics, mathematics and chemistry. Admissions are usually done through entrance examinations. Aspirant must have must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following subjects : Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics
Candiate must have scored minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Computer Science.
