Hello Saran, Both are very exciting fields. In vetenery you can be on your own. Let me assure you that there is acute shortage of these professionals and in future requirement is bound to rise. On the other hand, chemical engineering too has bright future as mankind needs to discover newer and newer chemicals to survive on this planet. My final advise will be to choose the one that fascinates you most.

Your rank is good enough. You do have a chance in chemical engineering in most of the colleges. Wait around for counselling to know more. The first counselling process is set to begin from 9th to the 14th of July at Assam Engineering Institute, Chandmari. Other details are given in the ASTU website and the official website for the director of technical education of Assam.

Rocket propulsion is a chemical reaction which needs to be controlled. They use different Li batteries which are needed to be manufactured according to their specifications. Rocket engine may be a cryogenic, solid fuel based, liquid fuel based or it can be combination of all together which are mostly related to chemical engineering. ISRO people do a lot of research for creating new type of Li batteries.

Yes, you can. The previous year general cutoff for AEC was 130-135. So just wait for the counselling.
