The Indian Maritime University (IMU) offers B.Tech in Marine Engineering at its Chennai and Mumbai campuses. The admission is based on the IMU Common Entrance Test (CET) score. According to the IMU academic brochure, the eligibility criteria for B.Tech in Marine Engineering is 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate in PCM and a minimum of 50% marks in English. There is a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks for SC/ST candidates, but it does not apply to English marks. The brochure does not specify the required percentile in the IMUCET for admission. Indian Maritime University, Chennai-Mumbai Campus MERI accepts scores from the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) for admission to its various programs. The IMU CET is a centralized test conducted by the university, and admissions for all the programs are based on the scores obtained in this entrance exam.
