Hello Pratik,
The private colleges that are good for civil engineering in Chennai are:
1) SRM University (KTR main campus)
2) Sathyabama University
3) VIT University
Due to less infrastructure at Chennai campus of VIT University, it is least preferred for civil engineering, but Vellore campus is good.
All the best.

Your chances are very less, I can say that there is no chance.
It depends on your luck too and you may only get seat in last NITs like NIT Mizoram, Jammu and Kashmir, manipur.
You may get only in far NITs and that too, you have less chances and I can't guarantee you about it.

Hello Praveen,
You have a good total and cut off marks. But, the admission is based on your caste like BC, MBC etc., so mention your caste as each caste has a specific cut off marks for admission into a college. You are advised to apply for Anna University counselling for admission into Anna University and its affiliated colleges.

SRM-Chennai is the best among all of them for mechanical engineering because it has better placements, infrastructure, faculty members, facilities, hostel and laboratories than that of MIT-Jaipur.
