There is no minimum score percentage criteria in graduation for CMAT exam. Only passing marks is required. The national level entrance exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency for the AICTE. The role of NTA starts from framing exam pattern to registrations and ends with result announcement. After that, MBA colleges which accept CMAT score for shortlisting students start the selection process. There are about 1,300 MBA colleges in India which accept CMAT score for admission. Ideally, one might consider a percentile range of 99-100 as favorable for MBA admission. However, achieving such high percentiles may not be feasible for all candidates. Therefore, determining what constitutes a good score in CMAT is crucial. A good CMAT score essentially ensures admission to the desired college.
If aspiring for a Tier 1 college, a good CMAT score would be 85 percentile and above. For a Tier 2 college, a score between 70-85 percentile is considered good, while for a Tier 3 college, a score below 70 percentile is acceptable.
