Yes, BTech in Petroleum Engineering at Dibrugarh University is offered as a full-time course at the UG level. The other BTech streams available at Dibrugarh University are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Admissions to these courses are based on the merit of CEE Assam (Engineering) or JEE (Main). Additionally, the university also offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) courses through Jorhat Engineering College.

Dibrugarh University offers BTech programmes in 4 spacialisations. To become eligible, students should have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Chemistry is not mandatory for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. For the candidates belonging to the general category, the minimum aggregate required in the compulsory subjects in Class 12 is 45%.
