Good infrastructure and faculty, peaceful campus, but placements need improvement.
Placements: Placements at NERIM need a lot of improvement. The overall placement support and opportunities provided by the college are not up to the mark, and many students expect better industry connections. The college needs to bring more companies for recruitment drives and should focus on providing relevant job opportunities in the core fields of the courses offered. The placement process should be more structured and transparent so that students can prepare properly for interviews and tests.
Infrastructure: NERIM has good infrastructure with clean, air-conditioned classrooms, a decent library with many books, and computer labs with internet facilities. Wi-Fi is available in some areas. Hostel rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the mess food is average but manageable. The campus also has medical aid, a small gym, and sports facilities like basketball and badminton, allowing students to refresh during free time.
Faculty: Teachers at NERIM are friendly, qualified, and supportive, making it easy to clarify doubts. The teaching quality is good, and most teachers explain concepts with practical examples. The curriculum is relevant and aligned with the university syllabus, which helps in building a strong base for industry or further studies. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and the passing percentage is quite high if you attend classes regularly and prepare well.

The campus infrastructure and facilities are good.
Placements: 30% of students get placed in my course of college. No package is offered in the BBA course. No companies recruit students from the college. 95% of students got internships for 1 month in Tata Capital and Mega Smart. Other students pursue the MBA in NERIM.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good but in classrooms desks and chairs are available. The projector of my class has issues sometimes. Toilets are also not made properly and they are not clean. They clean 1 day in a week. There is no field to play games or any indoor games. Sports are also not provided by the HOD, and they just tell us to stay in the classroom.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified for doctorate degrees and are PhD holders. They teach us very well and if we have any doubts, they tell us again. They help students to get the important ones and also give notes in WhatsApp groups and in class. Semester exams are moderate. The pass percentage is 30%. It helps to pass semester exams by giving notes or important questions that come in exams. They also gave previous question paper about 1-2 weeks ago before the exam.
Other: I chose this course because I studied 12th in commerce and my parents were not satisfied. So after 12th, I did not take B.Com and opted for this course.

The overall college is good for studying and only studying.
Placements: About 80% of students were placed in our course. The highest package offered in our course is 12 LPA, the average is around 6 LPA, and the lowest is around 4 LPA. Some top recruiting companies for our course are SBI, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Accenture, Infosys, and Nestle. 30-40% of students were placed in different companies such as Amul, HDFC, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course are quite decent and better. There is the availability of Wi-Fi connections, ACs, fans, better lighting, a supply of books and supplements, computer labs, and clean sanitary facilities. The overall infrastructure is fine and good. The facilities in the hostel are quite minimal. The infrastructure of the rooms is good, and the quality of food is fine—not so bad, not so good; it’s average. The availability of the canteen is provided with medical and sports and games too.
Faculty: The teachers here are very helpful. They are very well-qualified and knowledgeable in their respective subjects. This shows their teaching skills, which are quite appreciable. Yes, the course curriculum is very relevant since I’ve chosen it with my own choice and decision. That’s not sure that it makes the student industry-ready, but it could at least know some basics of it. In my opinion, the semester examinations are quite resilient and fine compared to our high school. The pass percentage is 32%.
Other: I chose this course since I am very interested in the fields of banking, finance, and business. The best thing about our course is that it is basically revolving around the reality of life and competitiveness. The things I wish would be better/improved about our course are that if there were an early facility of practical experiences, other than internships, given to the students, teaching them the real-life experience of working jobs and offices. Our college has a very bare minimum of events or any other extracurricular activities; it almost focuses on studies more than any other activities. Scholarships are available though.

It is a private college that will provide you with guidance in each and every sector.
Placements: There are over 200 students placed in our BBA batch. Placements are done on the basis of merit and academic performance. Recruitment is mostly done by banks and companies. There are not very high-paying job opportunities provided, but they are suitable for the initial period.
Infrastructure: In our college, NERIM Group of Institutions, Guwahati, they provide us with a library and labs for upgrading skills and knowledge of students. They provide smart classrooms with whiteboards, projectors, and a good sound system with microphones, which are very helpful for us to study properly.
Faculty: Faculty members of NERIM Group of Institutions are highly educated, well-trained, and very helpful towards the studies of students. Faculty members always make sure of the betterment of students and are really helpful in each and every sector of any department.

It is an average college.
Placements: For ST/SC, a minimum of 51% is required for admission, while for OBC and general categories, a minimum of 65% is necessary. The highest package is 10 lakhs per annum, and the lowest is 3 lakhs per annum. 20-25% of students secure internships. They offer excellent free computer classes.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good and clean, with a well-maintained library and labs. However, there is no Wi-Fi, and the campus is not very large, but it is decent, and the campus is neat and clean. The classrooms are well-developed, and fans and air conditioning are available in every room, which is beneficial as the weather in Guwahati is quite hot.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. They teach well but may not be highly expert. The course is good as it aids in developing our communication skills and personality. The semester exams are manageable; if we study, we can pass, but the questions can be difficult, so we must strive to understand them. The pass percentage is around 75%.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in management, entrepreneurship, and business. We can enhance our communication skills through this course. Events are good, but there are no scholarships for students, which I dislike; at least there should be scholarships for students, as many have financial difficulties.

Is BBA at North Eastern Regional Institute of Management (NERIM) Worth the Investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of what to expect:

Pros:

* Friendly and knowledgeable faculties: Many reviewers praised the professors' approachability, qualification, and dedication to teaching.
* Industry-relevant curriculum: The course seems to focus on preparing students for real-world scenarios, with emphasis on practical skills and internships.
* Good placements: While the placement rate is moderate (around 30-40%), the average salary package offered is decent (Rs. 1.5 Lacs per annum), and top recruiters include Flipkart, ONGC, Godrej, HDFC Bank, and more.
* State-of-the-art infrastructure: Reviewers mentioned comfortable class environments, modern amenities, and well-maintained hostels and libraries.

Cons:

Ultimately, the success of your educational journey depends on several factors, including your academic performance, personal interests, and post-graduation goals.
Q:   Is North Eastern Regional Institute of Management Tier 1 or Tier 2?
A:

NERIM is generally classified as a Tier 2 institution. While it has established a good reputation in the northeastern Indian region for its management and professional courses, it does not carry the same national ranking or recognition as Tier 1 institutions like IIMs or top national universities. NERIM is quite practical and offers good placement opportunities, which are attractive for students in the region. But for those who wish to be highly recognised Tier 1, it is not the best option.

Q:   What is the structure of the MBA two-year full-time programme at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Management?
A:

The MBA two-year full-time programme at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Management consists of four semesters, each lasting six months. Students are required to choose dual specializations from five offered groups in the third and fourth semesters and undertake two projects, one major and one minor, during the third and fourth semesters, respectively.

Q:   Is North Eastern Regional Institute of Management best in Guwahati?
A:

Yes, of course. North Eastern Regional Institute of Management is one of the best premium Institutes in Guwahati which provides quality education. It is considered one of the highly reputed Institutes of Guwahati, Assam. The institute was established in 1992 and offers PG and UG courses in full-time and part-time mode in the form of Degree programmes.

Q:   Can I get direct admission at North Eastern Regional Institute of Management?
A:

Yes, you can get direct admission at North Eastern Regional Institute of Management. Admission to any course at the college is not done based on the scores obtained in any entrance exam. To be eligible for the UG and PG course at the college, the candidate need to have a minimum of 50% marks in class 12th and graduation respectively in a relevant stream.

Q:   Is it easy to get admission in North Eastern Regional Institute of Management?
A:

Securing admission to the North Eastern Regional Institute of Management (NERIM) is seen as easy most times only considering the programme one seeks to apply for and the admission requirements. Below are some points of concern for the admissions procedures:

Eligibility Criteria: For the MBA program, typically aspirants must possess a bachelor’s degree in any field from an acknowledged institution. Some courses may stipulate specific entrance tests such as CAT, MAT, or the university’s own test?

Application Process: The admission procedure commonly entails the completion of an application form, the submission of supporting materials (e.g. University transcripts), and residence in an interview depending on the course applied for especially postgraduate ones.

Entrance Exam: In as much as some candidates may find it advantageous to sit for exams such as CAT or MAT which are at the national level, NERIM may also want some candidates to take its own entrance exam thereby cutting out some of the college candidates with extremely low test scores on the nation’s standardized exams?

Past Trends: This is because the admission procedure is very easy to them especially those seeking courses like BBA which has very simple basic eligibility criteria.

Q:   How good is North Eastern Regional Institute of Management for MSW?
A:

For an MSW, it's always a good deal to go for the North Eastern Regional Institute of Management as such, is a good deal among choices. The course emphasizes practical ability and involvement in the community with all the preparation offered in preparing students for careers as workers in social services across diverse areas. The institution, though still young, features mature faculty members, especially regarding contemporary challenges in such studies. Alumni have a fair opportunity for placement as employees in NGOs, or other government sectors, while working on corporate social responsibilities in India. Therefore, NERIM is a sound institution that provides a nurturing environment to the students pursuing MSW courses.
