As per the latest 2018 NIRF-MHRD ranking of engineering colleges in India these institutes are ranked as:-
NIT, Durgapur- 47.
NIT, Silchar- 57.
NIT, Hamirpur- 64.

Normally speaking, one can do MA in a subject only after completing graduation in that subject. This is so since one needs to have a foundation in that subject before embarking on post-graduation studies. Therefore I think you will not be eligible for admission in MA in a different subj
