If the student is focused on placements then one should join CSE or ISE as most of the companies will be of software domain. Even the student gets other branches, he /she can prepare for software and can apply for the software companies. From college side all branches are average only.

As admission will be based on KCET JEE the admission will be opening after the results of these exams released. After result seat allotment and councelling will be there and all information about these procedures will be announced in official KEA website.

Yes, there is a UVCE boys hostel near to the college and girls hostel is also available, but it is a bit far from the college location. Boys and girls hostels are available at Visvesvaraya College of Engineering.
