The admissions for B.E courses in Dr. Ambedkar Institute of technology is usually open during the June/July period of the academic year as soon as the results for various competitive examinations such as KCET COMEDK are released. Management seats are available much before that.

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology takes an approved intake of student number every year. It is expected to be roughly around 900-950 for various B.E courses, with approximately 60 students in a classroom offering a good student-teacher ratio. This is all including the students from KEA, COMEDK and management seats. As it also offers various courses including M.Tech, Diploma, etc. They make sure that they take the approved intake of students only.

Sometimes it happens that you miss the internal examinations due to any health issues or other problems for that matter. It's okay to miss it once. Dr. AIT conducts an internal exam known as the 'Makeup Test' for those who have missed any of the internal examinations. Students can take that test in case they were absent.
