It totally depends on you, if you want to be a little managerial as well as a little technical then you can go for MBA, as doing MBA would provide you with a plethora of opportunities ahead. As far I know, in some colleges, it is allowed that student from other branches ,other than CSE can pursue his MTech in CSE but under some conditions. You have to write your GATE paper in CSE. Directly, other branches are not admitted as MTech is a research field and without knowledge. Colleges won't admit any non-BTech CSE into CSE in MTech.

It depends on the other options you have in your pocket and the score you secured and lastly the specialisation you are looking for because there are people with five years of work experience as well. I myself has 34 months of experience. So let me know the other options of colleges and specialization you are looking for. I can better suggest after that.

First of all it depends on the specialization, second on the name of the company and third on your experience or you're a fresher.
Keeping all these in consideration, around 70-75% of the batch gets 7 L{A and above package.
