Hi,

  • Batch size (Pharma UG+PG combined): 250–300 students

  • Placed: 159 students
     So:

  • The majority get opportunities, but not all

  • Some students:

    • Go for higher studies

    • Or search for off-campus jobs

Hi.

Minimum Academic Cutoff (Main Requirement)

  • You need at least 50–60% marks in 12th (PCB/PCM)

  • Subjects required: Physics + Chemistry + Biology/Maths

In practice:

  • 60%+ is commonly expected for safe admission

  • 50% is the basic eligibility, but competition may push it higher

 Expected Cutoff Range (Recent Trends)

  • General category: 70% – 85%

  • OBC: 65% – 80%

  • SC/ST: 50% – 65%

Yes, it is worth pursuing BTech at Chandigarh University as it is the only university in Punjab and the region to get accredited by NBA for its Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Communications, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc. It has ranked 31 and 32 by the NIRF Rankings 2025 in the 'Engineering' and 'Overall' categories, respectively.
