Admission to St. Joseph's College of Engineering is based upon merit for a few, and entrance examination scores have been considered in the cases of others. To seek admission to B.E. or B.Tech at St. Joseph's College of Engineering, the candidate must submit the following with the application form:
Duly filled application form
Registration fees
Photocopies of mark sheets in qualifying examination
Conduct certificate
Transfer certificate of previous institution
Community and nativity certificates
Passport and three stamp size color photographs

TNEA ranks are required for admission to BTech courses at the St. Joseph's College of Engineering. The ranks for admission in 2024 varied from 45764 to 52583 based on different rounds, the category to which the student belongs, and the specialisation of BTech in which the student is interested. Cut offs varies year by year based upon numbers of applicants, the severity level of TNEA and the number of available seats in St. Joseph's College of Engineering
You can check the cut off for the previous year from Shiksha.com, but it will always be more reliable to check for the official cut offs announced after the TNEA counselling process.

No. Right now, the way forward for B.E./ B.Tech admissions into the St. Joseph's College of Engineering is the entrance through TNEA itself. They do not permit college-based admissions, too.
TNEA admissions- ranking and seat allocations through 10+2 and JEE Main Scores where applicable. Apply TNEA during application process preferably in May-June period itself.

Generally speaking, direct admissions to the St. Joseph's College of Engineering are not possible. Admission to the undergraduate courses in engineering, SJCE, is available through counseling based on rank obtained at the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA). This means one has to appear for the TNEA exam and get good rank, thereafter participate in counselling to be granted admission to colleges.

It depends on the course in which the student is interested. St. Joseph's College of Engineering offers BTech, MBA, MTech, and BBA courses. Admission to the MTech, and MBA courses at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the CEETA and the TANCET exams respectively. Applications for both exams generally opens in the month of February and are currently open. Admission to the BTech courses at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the TNEA counseling. The applications for the counselling begins in the month of May and are currently closed. Admissions to the BBA courses is done based on the scores obtained in the

The quality of the food in the mess is generally good in the hostels of St. Joseph's College of Engineering. The mess offers varied items, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian ones, and is prepared under strict hygiene conditions. Even its taste and quality are largely appreciable by the students themselves.

Yes, the St. Joseph's College of Engineering (SJCE) maintains a very strong placement cell for students and thus acts as a significant facilitator of students in approaching the possible employers. The placement cell is proactive and arranges recruitment drives, workshops, and training programs for making the students fit for placement. The industry network they maintain also proves to be strong to bring placement to the students. Placements are going great, with lots of students being placed in top companies from different industries.
