About alumni: Tagore Engineering College has its cluster of alumni who are nowadays working in several fields. The alumni list comprises employees from multinational companies across technology sectors, including TCS, Infosys, Wipro and HCL. Few of the alumni have done their postgraduate and doctoral studies from renowned universities while others are into business fields such as IT and manufacturing. Though the names are not advertised, the college does hold alumni meets frequently and presents best performing alumni students to the students.

The intake marks for admission into Tagore Engineering College differs from branch to branch and category in the TNEA Counseling. Typically the cutoff is 120-160 out of 200 for students in the open category for some of the most sought after B.E./B.Tech courses.
