Yes, appearing for NEET-UG is a mandatory eligibility criterion for BPT admissions across all quotas. While the 85% State Quota is filled through the DMER Maharashtra merit list based on NEET scores, the 15% Institutional Quota is also filled based on your NEET-UG performance for that year. There is no "direct admission" path that bypasses the NEET requirement.

Students belonging to reserved categories or economically weaker sections can apply. They need valid caste and income certificates. Female candidates may also receive certain benefits under state rules. For example, female candidates from EBC/EWS/SEBC/OBC categories get a 100% tuition fee waiver. The approval depends on government policies for that academic year.

The SIA College of Health Sciences, College of Physiotherapy, follows MUHS guidelines, similar to many physiotherapy colleges in Maharashtra. The course duration and syllabus are standard. Compared to bigger institutions like D Y Patil College of Physiotherapy, infrastructure size may differ, but academic structure remains similar. Students should compare fees, hospital exposure, and location before making a choice.
