To get admission in BCom and BCom (Hons) courses at Shyam Lal College, students need to clear CUET exam. The admissions are based on the CUET score. However, the deadline is over to apply for BCom courses at Shyam Lal College. There is no other way to apply for BCom course other than CUET exam score.

A placements drive was conducted by IGNOU in February in collaboration with ARCIS - E SERVICES PVT LTD and GLOBIVA. The open university students could participate in the drive. In addition, the permanent positions of Regional Callers, Backend Executives and Retention Executives were available in the placements with salary packages ranging between INR 1.7 LPA and INR 3 LPA. Moreover, there is no concise placements report for BA-placed students. As per the information gathered from unofficial sources, the highest package offered in 2023 (overall) to IGNOU students stood at INR 15 LPA.

Both IGNOU and VMOU are popular among the students. However, Indira Gandhi National Open University is nationally preferred by the students. It is  run by the Central Government of India. It has also been accredited by the NAAC with Grade 'A+'. The eligiblity criteria for BA admission at both the universities is Class 12 pass. Candidates can select a open university based on its ranking, fee, placements, etc. Both the open universities are popular among students. The minimum eligibility criteria for BA at IGNOU and YCMOU is Class 12 or equivalent pass. IGNOU BA and BA (H) fee range from INR 15,000 to INR 15,900. While the BA fees at YCMOU is INR 11,100.

Yes, IGNOU offers BA course of three-year duration. Admission to the UG-level course is subject to fulfiment of the eligibility requirements. Apart from this, the open university also offers four-year BA (Hons) programmes across different specialisations.
