There is no room for doubt, you should definitely go for National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad over Apeejay Stya University. I am not very sure whether you can get good placement opportunities after completing Bachelor of Design from Apeejay Stya University. If you want to do Bachelors in designing only then there are much better colleges for it like NIFT, NID, IIT-UCEED. These colleges are design specialised with better career opportunities. Sorry, but MDI Gurgaon doesn't accept MAT scores. You will have to give CAT for admission in MDI's regular post graduate programs. The overall cutoff for 2017-19 admissions for GDPIWAT round was around 95 percentile. There are sectional cutoffs too but those aren't revealed and might change every year. All the best.
