The marks scored in the Konkani First or Second language examinations would be equated with the marks of the optional Konkani (the cognate subject) as follows:60% in Konkani First or Second language to 45% of optional Konkani (the cognate subject).Candidates who have passed any Bachelor degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto and have secured an aggregate minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category-I candidates) marks are also eligible to apply if seats are left vacant after considering applications from category 1 and 2 above. The candidates from this category, i.e.; category 3 would be selected solely on the basis of an entrance test designed to test (a) the candidates' ability to read, write and speak Konkani fluently, and (b) a basic awareness of the literary world of Konkani. |
