The Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women adopts an inclusive admission policy with special consideration for differently abled, economically backward, Scheduled Castes and Tribes, and other backward community candidates. The rest of the BCom seats are allotted on the basis of merit. SC/STs get their seats according to government norms, based on valid certificates submitted for them, and are also aided in getting fee reimbursement. Special consideration is also given to outstanding achievers in sports, culture, and NCC, under the reservation rules of the Karnataka Government.

Yes, admission to the BCom course at Maharani College is merit-based. The admissions are approved based on the candidate's performance in the Class 12 exam. Thus, due to this merit-based approach, the candidates will be admitted according to their academic performances, and for that matter, applicants need to perform well in their qualifying exams to seek admission to the course. It provides a BCom programme with two specialisations: Bachelor of Commerce and BCom in Accounting & Finance.
