The college offers management seats, which can be obtained through KCET, COMEDK, JEE, and management quota.
The admission process includes a written test, group discussion/extempore, and personal interview.
For management quota seats, candidates have to appear for the selection process conducted by the institute.
50% of the seats are filled based on marks scored in the PGCET exam for government quota seats.
The remaining 50% of seats are filled through management quota, and exams such as MAT, PGCET, ATMA, KMAT, CAT, and CMAT are accepted for admission.

The hostel is available for both boys and girls and there is no difference in fee structure. 1.25 Lacs is fee of hostel of R.V. institute of management.
The hostel life is good according to student, vollyball court, badminton court, tennis court are also available

The infrastructure of college was quite eco-friendly with a lot of space for cultural events and sports. They had Wi-Fi throughout the campus. Facilities like gym, library, digital library, sports room, canteen, seminar hall, conference hall and classrooms with projectors are available. The infrastructure of our college is good compared to the other tier-2 colleges in the city.

The teacher and professor of R.V. Institute of management are knowledgeable and experienced. The teaching techniques and explanation is very good. The faculty to student ratio of college is approximately 10:1 .

The R.V. Institute of Management claim they have 100% placements, but according to record the placement, they are:
Approx 78 companies are visited last year and 140-150 students are placed. The highest package goes to 12 LPA and the average package of the college is 5.5 LPA.

The placement process for the 2023 passing-out batch is still ongoing. So far, 94% of students have been placed. A total of 339 recruiters visited the institute campus. The highest participation of recruiters was witnessed in the BTech courses. Manipal Institute of Technology average package for the 2023 drive stood at INR 12.59 LPA and the the highest package offered was INR 54.75 LPA. Further, For Computer Related Branches the Average package for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is INR 16.92 LPA, for Computer and Communication (CCE) it stands for INR 16.33 LPA,

The teaching in the college in top notch. The faculty is very friendly and helpful. Importance is given to projects.There is a research and development unit being built in the new building which will definitely contribute to a lot of top projects.
