Hello Khushi, it's very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing graduation in engineering after completion of your Diploma. Karnataka conducts and examination for lateral admission called Diploma common entrance test for DCET for short. I am attaching a link which will give you all the required information about this entrance examination which can enable you to seek admission directly into second year of four year degree course in lateral fashion in a college in Karnataka. https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/dcet-exam
Best wishes to you.

Hello Rukmini, I think you can. This is so because many states including Karnataka have given Diploma the equivalent of 12th and for joining any graduation course like B.A. Twelfth is a must. The institute from which you have completed your Diploma will be in a position to guide you about obtaining this equivalence Certificate. Once you have it with you then you can go for any degree for which eligibility is passing of 12th. Alternatively you can download the brochure of k s o u and SEE if they accept Diploma in lieu of 12th. Best wishes to you.

Best way for you to obtain the degree is to go for AMIE certification. This is equivalent to degree in all respects. I am attaching the link of the institute and you can see
