If you are trying for seat in any college through KCET, it's important for you to mention category and also, any special quota like Rural, Hyderabad-Karnataka, etc.
Whichever category you might be, please include your desired college like NIE and branches CS, IS, etc. in the option entry.
Based on category and rank, your seat will be declared.

Yes, you can pursue this. You need to either look for CCSU or IGNOU other than regular universities. But now only the first 2 universities would be accepting admissions as the admission process of most of the universities has been completed.
