Since the first batch of petroleum engineering hasn't graduated I can tell you about their placement but the MBAs got a decent placement in the past years. So you have chances to get good placement in B.Tech as well.

Presidency University is one of the very few institutes that offers petroleum engineering. Also, this field has a lot of scope in the future so you can be sure of the salary as the risk you are taking will give you a good future. Presidency has a practical approach when it comes to education so that you are ready for a good job as soon as you graduate. Hence you can be sure of Presidency. Also, it is the best college in South India, so you can happily apply.

No, Presidency is recognised by UGC which is the only requirement to get a job. The rest like AICTE and others are secondary and do not hold importance if you have a UGC recognised degree.

The fee changes for every batch. So, it'll be better if you find out the fee from the official website.

Since the first batch for petroleum engineering has not graduated I am not sure I can answer this question. But based on the MBA placements I can assure you that decent companies do come for placements.

It depends on your CET/COMEDK rankings, and for the branch you want to join, and also your caste. From what I know, you should try getting a ranking of at least 12000 or higher to join civil branch, 6000 for Electrical and Electronics branch, about 30004000 for Electronics and communication branch. For the more sought after branches like CS and IS, I would aim for higher rankings.

Hi Kiran,
If you have an interest in the design field, you can apply to any design institute. It's not like, only ICAT Design & Media College will accept you. If you have the talent, and passion for the design field, just go for it irrespective of your dropout.
