Colleges in Kerala

Admission is primarily based on the KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) entrance exam score. Some seats may also be filled using JEE Main scores for specific categories or quotas.

Candidates must pass 10+2 with 50% in Mathematics separately and 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) overall. A relaxation of 5% is provided for OBC/OEC candidates, while SC/ST candidates just have to pass.

Aspirants generally need at least 45–50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12. Specific cutoffs vary significantly; top-tier branches at NIT Calicut require much higher JEE ranks than state-level colleges. 

NIT Calicut consistently leads with high-package placements from global tech firms. Among state universities, CUSAT (Kochi) is highly regarded for its industry connections and specialised branches like Naval Architecture.

KTU is a specialised technical university with a modern curriculum. Calicut University offers a traditional campus experience but sometimes faces criticism for delayed exam results compared to KTU's more streamlined system.

Most engineering colleges in Kerala, including those under Calicut University, require KEAM scores. Premier institutes like NIT Calicut and IIT Palakkad admit students based on JEE Main scores.

Know the MH CET Law 2026 syllabus first, it help to plan better. The exam have parts like Legal Aptitude, GK, Logical Reasoning, English and Maths for 5-year LLB. Make small study plan daily, don't skip revision.
