Admission to IIT Bombay's MDes programme is based on the applicants' performance in CEED, followed by a written test and inteview conducted by the institute. Candidates who have a valid CEED score and fulfil the preset eligibility requirements can visit the institute's official website to submit an online application. Such application must be submitted along with the required documents and the applicable application fee which varies from INR 150 to INR 300 for different reservation categories. A 10+2 degree with a solid basis in physics, chemistry, and mathematics is normally required for admission to The Bombay Flying Clubs UG Diploma programs. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's (DGCA) requirements candidates for programs such as Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) must have finished their 10+2 with at least 50% in these disciplines.

In accordance with aviation requirements candidates may also need to pass a medical fitness test and be at least 17 years old at the time of admission It is beneficial to have excellent communication skills and a thorough comprehension of technical concepts.
