The last date of application for PGDM courses at Welingkar Mumbai was is generally at the end of January (for the same year's academic year). The process, however, starts a year before between November and December. Additionally, for vacant seats or seats with cancelled admission, applications re-open in the month of September. For the same session, the selection process takes place in the month of February and the merit list is generally out in March.

Candidates seeking admission to PhD course at Welingkar Mumbai must have a master's degree with at least 55% aggregate (or equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed) or MPhil with at least 55% aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale is required to apply for the PhD course. Final admission to PhD is based on PhD Entrance Test (PET) score conducted by the University of Mumbai followed by a personal interview conducted by the research centre.
