Looking at the past three years' data (2020 to 2022), an improving trend was recorded in the median package of PG (2-year) courses, whereas, the median package for UG (4-year) courses has dropped from 2020 to 2022. The  Nagaland University the highest package has not been disclosed officially. However, the course-wise median package is available in the NIRF report 2023. NIT Nagaland offers a four-year BTech programme across six specialisations spread over eight semesters. Admission to this course is subject to JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA Counselling. According to official website, the institute concluded its placement drive of 2022. The highest and average package offered during 2022 placement stood at INR 45 LPA and INR 8.09 LPA, respectively. Major giant companies who participated during NIT Nagaland placement drive 2022 included Deloitte, Cognizant, Capgemini, Infosys,  etc.

Yes, there is a special provision for candidates from Nagaland state. 25% of the total seats for all programmes are reserved for candidates having Nagaland domicile. If any seats remain vacant under the above-mentioned criteria, they are filled up by the students from Open category.
