No, you cannot get into NIT Nagaland for the BTech course without appearing for the JEE Main entrance examination. Candidates who want enrolment to the BTech course have to attempt the JEE Main exam and sit for the JoSSA counselling process to be eligible for a seat. 

Also, students should have completed their Class 12 with at least 75% aggregate (for the General category) to be able to write the JEE Main paper.

Additionally, admission to NIT Nagaland for its four-year BTech course is subject to a valid score in JEE Main followed by JoSAA Counselling. NIT Nagaland considers the scores of IIT-JAM for admission to the MSc programme. Followed by IIT JAM, students have to go through the CCMN counselling for final seat allotment to the institute. In addition to the exam, students must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the institute which is to have a bachelor’s degree, namely BSc (Hons) in Physics with first class or 6.5 CGPA for General and OBC candidates and 55% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA in 10 scale grading for SC and ST candidates.
