Om Valmik Mapari, government owned polytechnic at Pune is famous for attracting students with high percentage obtained in class 10th examination. This results students only with high percentage becoming successful in getting admission in this place. In spite of this there is no indication that Government polytechnic at Pune has prescribed in sort of cutoff for the courses. This may be so because of perhaps the government policy of not restricting any student from applying irrespective of the fact of who gets admission or not. Directorate of technical education of the state of Maharashtra has announced online registration for diploma courses and you must do so by giving proper choices of possible institutes where you wish to study. Hello Kanchan Jayram Bhor, Government polytechnic in Pune which admits students for diploma in Engineering in different branches is of course favourite among students. As a result of which students having high percentage apply in this institute in large numbers. This results in students who have less marks from not getting admission in this Institute. In spite of this situation there is no indication that this Institute as prescribe any cut off what so ever for any courses for students to apply. What this means is that any student who has met the minimum prescribed eligibility criteria can apply for seeking admission. Hello! Vaishnavi Jadhav, I am afraid that I could not find any information what so ever about any prescription of cutoff by this institution for admission to different courses. This could be because of the fact that this polytechnic is government owned and government may not like to prescribe any such restrictions. I may add here that this polytechnic has good academic reputation and therefore many students opt for this as their for choice and as a result of this only, those students who have scored well in their 10th examination can get admission.

Fergusson College offers a three-year bachelor's degree in various specializations of Arts and Science.
For admission to these courses, candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Examinations. For B.Sc courses, the qualifying examination must be passed in the Science stream.

MIT-WPU and Fergusson, Pune are well-reputed institutes for pursuing a degree in FYBA. Both are top-notch institutes in Pune, Maharashtra. According to me, Both the colleges are good enough when it comes to quality education and placements. But, if you ask me I would prefer Fergusson to MIT-WPU. Because Most importantly, If you join any of these two college first thing that matter is the Return of Investment (ROI) of the college you will automatically get to know that it is worth spending your money and time in Fergusson Pune Fees structure is quite decent and affordable. On the other hand, MIT is quite expensive because it is a Deemed University! No doubt It provides the best exposure.
