Students who wish to get admissions to Punjabi University Patiala can apply online through the institute page. However there are no offline applications as such only online applications are accepted for the PU Patiala programmes. While the selection process is merit and entrance based. Students must also complete the course eligibility and pay application fees before applying.

As a fresher, life at Punjabi University Patiala is quite good. Students receive a warm welcome from their seniors and teachers. Those students who plan to stay in the university hostel feel happy staying there.

Also the university has an Anti-Ragging Cell with the college premises having strict laws against the student found guilty of any act such as abusing, assaulting, threatening, teasing and embarrassment to new students, hence survival at Punjabi University Patiala for freshers is as comfortable as for the seniors.

  1. Register & fill the online form – Go to the official Thapar admissions portal and create an account, then complete the application with your details (personal, academic, etc.).

  2. Verify & upload documents – Confirm your email/phone and upload scanned documents like photo, signature and certificates as required.

  3. Pay the application fee – Pay ₹1,500 (common fee for most programs) online via card/net banking; some past cycles also allowed offline DD payment.

Honestly speaking, chances are very low.

With 75% in boards and 26 percentile in JEE Main, getting admission to Thapar University (TIET) for BTech is unlikely, even in lower-demand branches. Thapar's cut-offs are usually much higher, especially for JEE-based admissions.

You might have a very slim chance only if:

  • Seats remain vacant in later counselling rounds

  • You're open to non-core / less demanded branches

  • You have Punjab domicile or reserved category

The LPU application form fee is usually ₹1,000 for the LPUNEST kit if you choose the soft copy. If you opt for the printed LPUNEST kit, the fee is around ₹1,500. This fee is paid at the time of registration and is required to apply for most courses. The amount is the same for boys and girls.

  1. MBA eligibility is NOT based on your IPE/AP (12th) marks. For the MBA (including Business Analytics & Big Data) at Thapar University, the university requires a bachelor's degree with minimum marks — not 12th/Intermediate (IPE/AP) scores.

  2. Minimum Graduation Requirement: You must have at least 50 % aggregate marks in your undergraduate degree (45 % for SC/ST/PwD) to be eligible for MBA admission.

  3. Entrance Exam Matters: Admission is based on valid MBA entrance scores (like CMAT/NMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT/SNAP or the university's own TMAT). Your board marks (IPE/AP) do not directly affect MBA admission.

  4. Summary: So there's no specific IPE/AP mar

  1. CMAT Cutoff: For the MBA in Business Analytics & Big Data, the general category cutoff is around 75 percentile in CMAT to get shortlisted for further rounds.
  2. NMAT Cutoff: The NMAT score cutoff for the same specialization is typically around 50-55 score range (approximately 150 in some reporting scales) for general candidates.
  3. Selection Stage: Clearing the entrance cutoffs (CMAT/NMAT) only makes you eligible for the next stage — group discussion / personal interview — which also influences final admission. (General admission process insight)
  4. Note on Trends: Cutoffs can slightly vary year-to-year based on applicant pool strength, exam d

LPU requires a basic seat reservation fee which costs Rs. 10,000 for first-time registration or seat confirmation during the admission process. This fee structure comes with refund terms according to their policy yet different academic programs and scholarship options have minor fee variations.

If the eligible candidate has secured 50% or above in CLAT then Ramaiah College of Law may exempt the candidate from taking the RCL Admission Test. If the candidate has not taken CLAT or if the candidate has not secured the threshold score in CLAT then taking the RCLAT is compulsory. But registration and PI in each case for admission in BA LLB is compulsory.
