Candidates seeking admission in NIT Jalandhar must qualify JEE Main for UG and CCMT for PG. Candidates must check the eligibility requirements for their preferred course before applying. Hereafter, candidates must register for the JoSAA/CCMT counselling process for UG/PG respectively. Subsequently, the college allocates seats on merit basis with reference to JEE Main/ GATE scores and candidate's preferneces recorded during the counselling process.

NIT Jalandhar admits students to its UG and PG programmes on merit basis. The college accepts JEE Main scores for UG programmes and GATE scores for PG programmes. Candidates must ensure that they are eligible for the preferred courseby checking the minimum eligibility requirements.

The total estimated cost of pursuing a BTech degree at NIT Jalandhar in 2025 ranges between INR 5.38 Lacs and INR 8.96 Lakh. Here is a breakdown:

• Tuition fee: INR 2.5 Lacs - INR 5 Lakh
• Accommodation charges (hostel and mess): INR 2.1 Lacs - INR 2.79 Lakh
• Miscellaneous fees (library, laboratory, examination, registration, and administrative services): INR 78,000 - INR 1.17 Lakh

Candidates who have complete master's degree or PG Diploma or its equivalent in any discipline with first-class or BTech/4-year degree with 6.5 CGPA or equivalent are eligible to apply for PhD programme at IIM Amritsar.

Aspirants with any professional qualification such as CA/ ICWA/ CS/CFA- Level-II (USA) with a graduate degree in the relevant subject has a minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average can also apply.

IIM Amritsar shortlists candidates based on their entrance exam scores at the first level. Aspirants must have a valid score in CAT, GATE, GMAT, GRE or JAM for admission. Shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round for admission. The institute also considers Class 10, Class 12, qualifying degree marks and work experience and gender diversity for final selection. 

Candidates must pass a bachelor's or a master's degree or any other equivalent degree, preferably involving Management, Mathematics, Computer Science or allied fields with at least 60% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA or first class to apply for MSc programme at IIM Amritsar. Besides, aspirants must also have a valid score in CAT, GATE, GMAT, GRE or JAM for admission.

IIM Amritsar offers a five-year Integrated programme in Management or IPM leading to MBA. Students in the course get an option to exit the course in three-years with a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Finance and Economics degree. Students are shortlisted for IPM based on their IPMAT scores. Selected candidates have to further pass a personal interview round for admission.

IIT Ropar campus caters to the sports needs of students. It has a cricket ground, football ground, hockey ground, badminton court, basketball court, and tennis court for outdoor activities. The institute also has an indoor facility for table tennis. The institute has a huge sports complex with plenty of sports options to encourage students to participate in indoor and outdoor sports activities. It also organised several sports festivals and events for the students.
