Yes, getting medical insurance is mandatory for an Indian student to get access to legal residence. In case of any uncertainty, the doctor will bring the patient in a stable condition but further treatment will require insurance. Students with a deficiency of medical insurance will have to pay a penalty of RUB 2000-7000 (INR 2.1K - 7.6K).

To apply in ASMU, an Indian student must submit an online application along with the required documents including a copy of passport, academic transcripts and TOEFL scores as English proficiency are to be submitted to the university. Once the student receives his invitation letter, he must deposit the tuition fee and apply for the student visa.

MBBS is available under majors such as General Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy. However, students are advised to know basic language skills so as to blend with other students and locals.

While the university itself does not take an entrance exam at the time of admission, Indian students are required to attain the minimum passing marks in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test or NEET exam along with a minimum 50% score in each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Class 12 (for unreserved category students) or 45% in each subject (for reserved category students).
