As per the NIRF 2025 ranking under the “Engineering” category, Indraprastha IIT Delhi ranks 63 among the top Engineering institutes of the country. The total fee for M.Tech in IIIT Delhi ranges between INR 3.7 Lacs and INR 6 lakh. NIT Trichy MTech fee is INR 1.4 lakh. As per placement statistics, the median package is recorded to be INR 18.17 LPA for IIITD and INR 7 LPA for NIT Trichy. Hence, it can be concluded that the fee is higher at IIITD. National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, formerly known as Regional Engineering College, was established in 1964 as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu.
