There are a number of good colleges for animation in Tamil Nadu. Candidates can opt for Government colleges like University of Madras and Bharatiyar University; and Private Colleges like Loyola College and VIT Vellore. At the moment the Southern Academy of Maritime Studies SAMS, Chennai is not fully closed but functioning under restrictions. The Directorate General of Shipping through a circular has restrained SAMS from enrolling any fresh students for any of its course until it takes measures to address various remarked shortcomings that included fees recovery and instructors’ suitability. The institute has been in existence from 1993 and covers different area of maritime courses.

Yes, you can get admission in B.Tech at PSG Institute of Technology & Applied Research with your JEE Main and qualifying exam score. PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSG iTech) also admits students through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process. So, direct admission is not possible in the institute, you will have to give some qualifying exams.
