The minimum marks required to get admission at VIT Vellore BTech programme for general category candidates is 60% in PCM and 50% for SC/ST and other category candidates. Hence, If you are a general category candidate then, you do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria required to appear for admission to the VIT BTech course. However, in case of SC/ ST or other category candidate, you are considered to be eligible to appear for the entrance exam and get admission at VIT.

The total tuition fee for M.Tech at NIT Surathkal ranges between INR 1.4 Lacs - INR 2.8 Lacs and for NIT Trichy it ranges between INR 1.4 Lacs - INR 3.6 lakh. As per NIRF 2023 rankings, NIT Surathkal was ranked 12th in the “Engineering” category and NIT Trichy is ranked 9th. In order to be eligible to sit for the examination, students are required to maintain a minimum attendance of 75% in each course. Students with attendance between 74% and 70% have the option to request condonation by submitting the necessary form and fee. Similarly, students with attendance between 69% and 60% can also apply for condonation by submitting the prescribed form, fee, and a Medical Certificate. Students with attendance below 60% are ineligible to take the examination and will be required to retake the semester(s) upon completion of the programme.
