Loughborough University considers applications from prospective students who wish to transfer to the university from any other university. The university considers applications for first-year entry and in some cases, second-year entry. However, Loughborough does not accept applications for entry directly into the third or final year of a course.

For postgraduate applicants, this varies. The university recommends applying for accommodation as soon as their place in the university is confirmed.
