Liberty ranks highly as part of university rankings given by several prominent ranking platforms. A major source ranks it #392 as part of its Best Colleges in National Universities Rankings 2025, while another ranks it #371 as part of its the latest rankings of Private Colleges in the US.
The institute attains a rank of #364 as part of the latest Shiksha Popularity Rankings 2025.

Liberty is considered among the best institutions in the region & are well known for their overall quality of education, however, it's the college sports experience that really grabs the attention of prospective students.
The institute is home to over 20 NCAA Division I teams, & 40+ Club Sports teams, & its baseball stadium: Worthington Field, is considered by many as one of the top places in the United States to watch a collegiate baseball game.
