U of Houston was founded in 1927. It is a public research university located in Houston, Texas, USA. It was established as Houston Junior College. Then, in 1934, it became the University of Houston. Then, in 1977, it joined the University of Houston system. Today, this university is the fourth-the largest university in Texas. This university offers 280+ courses. The University previously used to have seven campuses: of which five were in Manchester, namely: Didsbury, Elizabeth Gaskell, Hollings, Aytoun & All Saints & two in Cheshire: Alsager & Crewe.
