The total marks of JEE advanced exam varies every year. So with respect to the previous year admissions, I may tell you in terms of ranks.
Your category rank should be below 500 so that you can get a seat at IIT-Kharagpur.
If you have such a rank, then you can get any desired branch in top IITs.

Before attending a GD-PI, you should be aware and updated about current affairs, international events, issues affecting India and the world, etc. so that you can share your opinion and views if asked. You should watch debates on English News channels like Times Now, NDTV 24X7 to have an idea about how to respond effectively during a GD session.
You need to be patient and a good listener in order to respond effectively to a group discussion. The interview panel includes people from college management but you need not panic. You must have given at least four to five exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNA
