To apply for COMEDK UGET, the General Merit candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually.

No. The COMEDK UGET exam is a national-level entrance exam open to candidates from all over India. Moreover, 70% of applicants for COMEDK are usually from outside Karnataka.

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) releases the COMEDK UGET eligibility criteria through its notification. The COMEDK UGET exam is open to Indian citizens, OCI, and PIO candidates. OCI and PIO applicants must get an eligibility certificate from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, before applying online. Only those who fulfil the COMEDK 2026 eligibility criteria can apply for the exam. The eligibility criteria state:
- Qualified the second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognised by the State / Central Government with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

No, COMEDK participating institutes comprises both government and private colleges. There are 132 engineering colleges which accept COMEDK UGET score for admissions to engineering courses. Out of the total institutes, 95 percent of colleges are private while 5 percent of colleges are public/government. The admissions to both private and government colleges will be done on the basis of COMEDK rank. Candidates have to qualify COMEDK UGET cutoff 2025 to secure admissions.
