The commerce field is one of the best, every changing, dynamic, exciting and lucrative field in the business arena. After 12th with commerce, there are various fields you can explore. However, completing your B.Com graduation is most important since a graduation degree in commerce opens the doors for admissions to a number of courses.
The most relevant courses after HSC Commerce which can be done alongside completing the commerce graduation are chartered accountancy, company secretaryship, cost accounting, chartered financial analyst.
After 12th commerce, you may also shift to BBA or BBM or BMS or hotel management for graduation degree. CA, CS, CWA, CFA are known as professionals courses which lead to specialized careers in accounting/taxation/finance, secretarial practice law, cost accounting, financial analysis respectively.
The CA, CS, CWA are statutory professions and job opportunities for these professionals are growing and are in plenty. CFA is a niche career course. If you opt for BBA / BBM / BMS, etc., then doing MBA after graduation will be a sort of easy to complete. However, if you do an MBA from a very good Institute your career will be growing and very flourishing.

BCA as well as B.Sc IT, both are technical courses that can offer a better job opportunity to Students. These courses can provide a better job in the field of computer applications. Today everything is computerized and companies are trying to come out with more new and new applications so students of this course also have access to many job opportunities.
*BCA students are involved more in computer applications, whereas, B.Sc students can have advanced job opportunities in internet technology and database management.
*After the successful completion of BCA, students can go for postgraduate courses like M.Sc (IT), MCA and MBA. The students who procured B.Sc can have further courses on MCA (Master of Computer Applications).
Which course is better?
Both of these courses have their own merits. Students interested to have a job in Software or in computer applications can choose to study BCA. BCA course is also a good option for students who wish to take a postgraduate degree in MCA. Students who are interested in Database operations or Internet can go for B.Sc IT. Anyway, both these courses can offer challenging jobs in the field of computers.
