The university also gives us the opportunity to get real-life exposure through various training programs and an internship, which is mandatory for all. Professors go for value-based education which is something we as professionals would require in our career. Guest lectures by experts and some really successful people are arranged by our department to widen our scope of learning. The placements are exemplary. Many of my known alumni are placed in decent companies in different cities, while some are placed abroad, too. Industrial exposure is offered through in-house training programs. The university organizes many external workshops for us. The package provided by on-campus jobs is also satisfactory. The university environment is pretty decent with high-tech security. They also organize regular interactive one-on-one sessions with experts where we can discuss our views and share our doubts and problems.

Specializations like Cloud Computing and Security at Chandigarh University are designed to give students a competitive advantage in placements and career growth. Unlike general CSE, the specialisation integrates industry collaboration with IBM, AWS, and Virtusa, providing mentorship and certifications that are highly valued by recruiters. Getting a job after CSE is a big dream for many students. But placements follow rules. First of all, students must meet all eligibility. No active backlog is allowed. Most companies ask for a CGPA above 7 or 7.5 to sit in their drive. Few top firms even prefer 8 CGPA and more. If a student is already placed, they cannot sit again. Students should also have no suspensions or fines, and regular in activities like DCPD sessions. Along with CGPA, credit score and attendance are also checked.

The process is simple but strict. First is an online test. Then coding round, followed by technical interview, and finally HR interview. So, having 7.5 CGPA or above with clear record is considered safe. But skill, practice, and confidence matter equally. CGPA only opens the gate, selection depends on performance.
