The future of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in AI and data Science with a minor in medical engineering appears to be bright. AI and data Science are transforming industries. CSE provides students with a strong foundation in software engineering and development, which is most valuable in the technology sector. Specializations in machine learning, reinforcement learning, and data Science are in high demand. Emerging technologies like quantum computing, blockchain, and augmented reality offer career opportunities for experts. A minor in medical engineering will further enhance such opportunities, especially in the field of healthcare

The KCET B.Tech CSE cutoff of Bangalore's top colleges is different. For instance, R.V. College of Engineering has a minimum cutoff of 200, while SKSJT Institute of Engineering takes ranks as high as 15000. In 2023, the closing rank in Round 1 and Round 2 of the GM category in R. V. College of Engineering was 242 and 310, respectively. M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology had closing ranks of 1045 and 1171, respectively. PES University (Ring Road Campus) had closing ranks of 1006 and 1124.

Based on the KCET 2024 cutoff data, the closing rank for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (GCEM) was 64,941.

With your KCET rank of 56,991, you stand a good chance of securing a seat in the CSE programme at GCEM, as your rank is above the previous year's cutoff. Please note that cutoffs can vary each year based on factors such as the number of applicants, seat availability, and overall exam performance.

HIT Haldia and Narula Institute of technology both have decent reputations for the CSE branch but HIT Haldia generally has a slight edge in terms of infrastructure, campus facilities, and placement opportunities. HIT Haldia has tie-ups with more core companies and offers better industry exposure whereas Narula is good for location advantage being in Kolkata. If placements and campus life are priorities HIT Haldia might be a better choice but if you prefer being in a metro city Narula can be considered.

Dear Aryan,
With an OBC-NCL rank of 43,823 and CRL of 1,33,279 in JEE Mains 2024, it would be difficult to get a CS branch in the top NITs or IIITs but you can opt for opportunities available in newer NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and good state-level engineering colleges. Some of these options are:
Newer NITs – NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Meghalaya, etc. are likely to have vacant seats during later rounds.
IIITs – IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Agartala, and a few lower-ranked IIITs may be possible in spot rounds.
GFTIs – Organizations such as Assam University, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, or North Eastern Regional Instit

GGI College (Gulzar Group of Institutes) has B.Tech in CSE, and it is a good option based on what matters most to you. The college offers industry tie-ups, placement assistance, and new-age labs, but placements more or less rest upon your skills and effort.

Organizations like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys come, but the average package is moderate (about 3-5 LPA). If you are interested in reasonable fees and good faculty, it is worth looking into. But if placements and exposure are your priorities, you may like to compare it with other reputed colleges.

All the very best for this, and I hope this helps.

You may expect to get admitted into the B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering (GVPCE) with an AP ECET rank of 14,000. The last ranks at closing for CSE in the previous year were about 9,000 to 48,000, and thus your rank will be a fair range of admission. But one must get involved in the counseling process and verify the particular cutoff for this year as it may differ according to competition and seats available.

Last year, the cut-off for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) stream at Medi-Caps University typically was in excess of 80 percentile of JEE Main score for direct entry. Still, candidates who had scored approximately 60-70 percentile were also considered for associated courses such as Artificial Intelligence or Data Science. The actual cut-off might fluctuate each year depending upon candidate performance and the number of seats available. For the latest and most accurate information, it is best to visit the official Medi-Caps University website or call their admissions office.
