The subjects in the course curriculum are more specialisation specific in the third semester or from the second year of the course. In the first half of the second year, students have to study the below-mentioned theory and practical subjects as per the GJUST BTech CSE curriculum:

For the CSE branch, both VIT Chennai and VIT Bhopal are decent options. However, considering recent data and factors like placements, faculty, and campus facilities, VIT Chennai might be a better choice.
- Placements: VIT Chennai has a strong industry connection, which translates to better placement opportunities. VIT Bhopal also has good placements, but they might not be as extensive.
- Campus Facilities: VIT Chennai is a well-established campus with a diverse student population and good infrastructure. VIT Bhopal, although decent, might not match the same level of facilities and diversity.

The University had not released the CSE average package details. However, the median package for UG (4-year) and PG (2-year) courses are out, which are tabulated below:

Direct/Merit-based admission is possible at Dr. G.Y. Pathrikar College of Computer Science and IT, MGM University, for the undergraduate (UG) programs.The candidate must have passed the higher secondary (multipurpose) examination conducted by the H.S.C. Board, Government of Maharashtra, with Science/Technical subjects. Alternatively, the candidate can have an equivalent qualification recognised by the statutory University and Board. There is no separate entrance exam required for admission to the UG programs at the college.
