Three-year (six semesters) professional Masters Degree in computer Science awarded in India. It is the second most accepted degree after B.Tech computer Science for Developer and Testers job in Indian IT industry. M.Sc. Operation Research & Computer Applications is a postgraduate Computer Science course with specialisation in Operation Research techniques. Operations research specialists with IT skills are required in many scientific fields, many of which are of vital for business and scientific studies. As it is a niche course designed for a very specific industry and business needs job opportunities are lesser in comparison to MCA.

Services include the SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services. These services are core products of the SQL Server 2008 R2 version, but they differ significantly in the services they provide as part of the full server suite. These tools can be deployed either stand-alone or as part of a Sharepoint system, can be fully integrated with the MS Office desktop products such as Excel. There is good demand for certifications of Microsoft BI suite.

The term Business Intelligence (BI) refers to technologies, applications and practices for the collection, integration, analysis, and presentation of business information. The purpose of Business Intelligence is to support better business decision making. Essentially, Business Intelligence systems are data-driven Decision Support Systems (DSS). Business Intelligence is sometimes used interchangeably with briefing books, report and query tools and executive information systems. Business Intelligence systems provide historical, current, and predictive views of business operations, most often using data that has been gathered into a data warehouse or a data mart and occasionally working from operational data. Business intelligence analysts use data to figure out market and business trends for companies to increase profits and efficiency. They may work directly for a company or as a consultant. Business intelligence analysts gather this data through a number of ways, from mining a company's computer data through software, looking at competitor data and industry trends to help develop a picture of where the company stands in the industry, where they can improve and where they can reduce costs. Business intelligence analysts spend most of their time analyzing data, Past trends, current conditions, etc. They are able to look at large chunks of data and understand trends and then communicate those trends to the company for efficient decisions.

JAM is an admission test to Master of Science (M.Sc. ) and other post-graduate Science programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Science, and other institutes. The main objective of JAM is to provide admissions to various M.Sc. , M.Sc. -Ph.D. dual-degree and other post-graduate programs based on the performance in a single test. Eligibility Requirement (ER) for admissions in IISc and IITs based on JAM is as follows:. (a) All candidates admitted through JAM should have a Bachelors degree. (b) At least 55% aggregate marks, without rounding off, (taking into account all subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined) for General/OBC-NCL Category Candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks, without rounding off, (taking into account all subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined) for SC/ST and PwD Category Candidates in the qualifying degree.

(a) Development and Testing: These are IT engineering roles. In order to have technical career in IT, you require educational qualifications such as B.Tech computer Science/ IT, BCA-MCA, B.Sc-M.Sc computer Science/IT. (b) IT infrastructure support including Desktop, server, networking, Telecom support. Most of these roles are filled by Electronics and Science grads or Diploma and degree holders with courses in hardware and networking. (c) Project Management: Technical Professional grow into role of Project Management with Certification such as PMP, PRINCE, etc. After few years of development or testing experience. Some MBA IT grads get Project Management opportunities directly. (d) Business Analysis: Subject Matter experts with domain experience in Functional areas such as BFSI, Healthcare, Travel & Transportation, etc. Can become B.A. Most of the B.A. Are with MBA background with B.A. Certification such as IIBA or BCS. (e) Business Development: MBA/ MBA IT grads have opportunities in IT industry in PreSales support, Sales & Marketing and Account Management. (f) IT support role in Quality, Technical writing, Customer service engineer etc. These roles are filled with lower education. Profile professional such as BCA grads.

As a PMP, you can work in virtually any industry, with any methodology and in any location. The PMP can also provide a significant advantage when it comes to salary and earning potential. In India PMP draws salary from Rs 5 Lacs to Rs 30+ Lacs per annum depending on experience and qualifications. Cost of doing PMP is US$405.00 for members and US$555.00 for Non-member. Prerequisite for doing PMP are as follows: (a) Secondary degree (high school Diploma, associates degree or the global equivalent) and 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education
or (b) Four-year degree and 4,500 hours leading and directing projects; and 35 hours of project management education. Indian IT industry employs maximum PMsP in India. For IT Technical resources after few years of experience doing PMP is sure path of growth and career progression.

A general-purpose DBMS is designed to allow the definition, creation, querying, update and administration of databases. DBMS can be used to manage transactional databases such as HR systems, banking systems and so on. (b)Database administrators (DBAs) use specialised software to store and organize data. The role may include capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery. Even if you do DBA certification from Oracle, Microsoft or Informix or IBM DB2, etc. After B.Tech, it may be difficult to get freshers job as most of the large enterprises M.A. Not allow freshers to touch their business critical databases. It is suggested that B.Tech graduates should do few years of programming before seeking DBA certifications for long term career growth and acceptance.
