As for MCA, there is no entrance test, so some institute may admit student directly, but some institute conduct entrance test. It depends on the institute.

Here are some suggestions for career in Computer Science and Information Technology field for under graduate courses.
In India, you can assume three levels of institutes for IT career :
1. Indian institute of Technologies (IITs) : Highest in quality, Established by Indian Government. There are only 7-8 IITs in India and 7 more are under development. experience : IIT Mumbai, IIT Delhi, etc.
2. National institute of Technologies (NITs) : Lower standard than IITs, established by Indian government one in each state. There are only 35 approximately NITs across all over India. Ex. MNIT Jaipur, NIT Waran
