Diploma after 12th won't make much sense. In my opinion, you should opt for engineering considering the fact that it has more industry value as compared to BCA and high pay package plus better future career options.

It differs from college to college and from universities to universities. Some take admission on the basis of merit and group discussions & others on the basis of entrance test and if you qualify then there is an interview round too.

FICO consultants are one of the most sought after SAP consultants. If you want to stand out in market, then I would suggest you to get more knowledge on taxation and taxation laws. There is a sub module called CIN in SAP, which was designed and developed specifically for India and Indian scenarios.
If you have good knowledge of FICO modules, then it will get you an entry in any consultancy who implement SAP, but the competition is quite high. So, you should try to get your concepts of ledgers and taxation clear.
